Banksy 'Exit Through The Gift Shop' Makes Top 5

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Science today announced their final nominations in each category for the upcoming Oscars awards show February 27th, 2011 in Los Angeles. I was extremely happy to see Banksy's documentary 'Exit Through The Gift Shop' made it to the top 5. :) I am also quite surprised 'Waiting For Superman' did not make the cut!!

Is This Banksy?

Is this Banksy? This photo was produced by the seller in question who was offering the truth behind who the artist Banksy is. The auction ended with the highest bidder sitting around $1,000,000. When contacted the seller was quoted as saying "I spent 3 years finding the answer. I was paid off, now I can tell you nothing. All I can give you is this photograph." This photo shows a person waving a hand at the camera in a 'Don't take my photo' face. Hmmmm! Was it Banksy that paid off this bloke?

Here are 3 NEW prints called 'Tagged' by artist Rene Gagnon. These are 30 x 22 inch screenprints on 250GSM Stonehenge paper with an edition size of 20 each, these come signed and numbered by the artist for $50 each. They are available in Green, Pink, and Blue. Here is another WICKED bubble print follow up to 'Mona Bubble' released a three years back. This is called 'Bubble Shell Toe' by artist Rene Gagnon. This is a 6 colour 26.5 x 20 inch screenprint on gloss varnished 3/4 inch quality plywood with an edition size of 15, comes signed and numbered by the artist for $295 each.

Blaine Fontana 'I Dream Of My Main Grain' Print Available

Here is the next print in the 'I Dream Of...' series by artist Blaine Fontana. This is called 'I Dream Of My Main Grain'. It is a 18 x 24 inch screenprint on 310GSM archival paper with an edition size of 50, comes signed and numbered by the artist for $80 each. Handiedan 'Donna Juana No. 1' Print Release Details

Here is the latest release by Dutch artist Handiedan. This is a reworked version of 'Donna Juana' which was featured at the most recent 'Habba Habba' art show at PhoneBooth Gallery. These are called 'Donna Juana No. 1' and they are 21 x 27.5 inch giclees on 308 Hahnemuhle paper with an edition size of 13, comes signed and numbered by the artist for €213 each. These beauties are very similar to the 'Piano No. 2' collage print released by that piece of shit at Art Asylum Boston a while back. These pieces contain lots of collage work, ink doodles and acrylic paint hand embellishments making each piece unique. ABSOLUTE STUNNERS! I hope to hell I can score one of these!!! From Esao Andrews "I'm excited to have my first screenprinted concert poster. It's for Circa Survive. Here is another BEAUTIFUL bicycle inspired print by the crew over at BarrelNY. This is called 'Tall Unicycle' by artist Andrea Horne. This isa 4 colour 18 x 24 inch screenprint on 100lb French off white paper with an edition size of 35, comes signed and numbered by the artist for $30. Awesome print, Awesome price! Here is a cheap GREAT print called '1984' by artist Dran. This is a 65 x 80cm b/w offset print with an edition size of 500, comes unsigned and unnumbered by the artist for €20 each. Don't pay 50 quid on eBay when you can score this for 20 Euros.
